Inside Soap Awards 2019 took place tonight in London’s Soho.
The annual awards are one of the biggest names in the soap calendar, attended by stars from Britain’s much loved soap operas.
The annual awards, celebrate the achievements of the British soap and television industry.
EastEnders has led the way i the Inside Soap Awards 2019 shortlist, racking up an impressive 16 nominations against Emmerdale’s 14, Coronation Street’s 12 and Hollyoaks, which earned 10.
The ceremony – which takes pace tonight – will see all four soaps go head-to-head in a number of different categories – a full shortlist bellow – but to some extend the most watched out for award is that of “Best and Worst” dressed.
Most of the Soap Star’s sizzled and impressed on the red carpet with their grand and well put together outfits whilst others fell flat.
Express.co.uk looks at this year’s best dressed directly from the red carpet.
One of the first stars to arrive, Laura Rollins, star of ‘Doctors,’ stepped out in a burgundy fitted bardot dress which accentuated her figure. Pairing the outfit with some nude heels, the actress played it safe.
Arriving shortly after, Rebecca Sarker, looked great in a little black dress. The dress was a simple off the shoulder piece with ruffles down the front making it a fun number.
Following suite, Hollyoaks co-stars Actor Imran Adams and actress Lauren McQueen, arrived on the red carpet in contrasting tailored suits.
Ex- Coronation Street star Katie McGlynn looked gorgeous in a white, tailored, revealing dress while on the red carpet of the 2019 Inside Soap Awards. Similarly, Eastenders star Clair Norris looked stunning as she stepped in a black tailored dress.
Coronation Street’s Bhavna Limbachia, brought the old-school glamour to the awards. Pictured in a black lace number, the actress looked effortlessly chic. Pairing the sleek number with a pair of nude-shine heels, the actress was polished and elegant.
Eastenders star Priya Davdra sparkled on the red carpet at the annual awards. Dressed in a cream dress with mirrored sequins the actress captivated everyone’s attention.
Eastenders co-star’s Louise Lytton and Zack Morris looked superb on the red carpet of the annual Inside Soap Awards.
Louise, opted for a pastel blue number, box shouldered, tailored dress which she paired with a contrasting pastel pink clutch and some brown heels, the outfit was fashionable and charming.
Co-star Zack, not to be outdone, opted for a tweed blazer with specs of blue, a white shirt, a matching blue tie, black trousers and some black loafers. The star looked smart and stylish in his outfit.
However, not all stars brought the glamour to the red carpet.
A number of stars made the ‘worst dressed’ list this year with some just not bringing their A-game.
Leading the way at worst dressed, Sarah Moyle, from the long-running series of ‘Doctors’, stepped out in a shocking navy blue and green and light blue, flower print maxi dress. Pairing it with some comfy looking suede blue flats, the actress failed to impress.
Katherine Dow Blyton was next to arrive in a busy floral dress that did not impress. The Emmerdale star paired the outfit with some brown suede ankle boots and a brown bag, but this look just didn’t work on the 55-year-old actress.
Hollyoak’s star, Daisy Wood-Davis arrived in a mismatched outfit at the 2019 Inside Soap Awards. The actress and singer, was pictured in a questionable black and white dog toothed ensemble, which she paired with some tan pointed cow-boy boots. The usual fashionista missed the mark this year and is sure to regret her fashion choice.
Another victim to the fashion woes is fellow Hollyoak’s actress Jessamy Stoddart. The actress was pictured in a black see-through, high-neck, ruffle top which she paired with some suit-like black shorts and tall black suede boots. On this occasion, the actress’ revealing outfit did not impress.
Not much thought had gone into the outfits of Connie Hyde or Rachel Adedeji. The actresses appeared uninspiring as they were pictured on the red carpet. Connie, wore a royal blue partially see-through dress which she paired with some brown leather ankle boots, whilst fellow actress Rachel Adedeji decided on a pink, halter-neck, ruffle dress and simple perplex heels.
